For he will deliver the needy when he crieth, And the poor, that hath no helper. He will have pity on the poor and needy, And the souls of the needy he will save. He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence; And precious will their blood be in his sight: All this have I seen in my days of vanity: there is a righteous man that perisheth in his righteousness, and there is a wicked man that prolongeth (his life) in his evil-doing. Be not righteous overmuch; neither make thyself overwise: why shouldest thou destroy thyself? And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are built up; yea, they tempt God, and escape. being defamed, we entreat: we are made as the filth of the world, the offscouring of all things, even until now. by glory and dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and (yet) true;
