Why will ye be still stricken, that ye revolt more and more? the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; (but) wounds, and bruises, and fresh stripes: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with oil. The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but Jehovah will be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. Thy sun shall no more go down, neither shall thy moon withdraw itself; for Jehovah will be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended. The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is upon me; because Jehovah hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening (of the prison) to them that are bound; I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was waste and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them; and I will reveal unto them abundance of peace and truth. Come, and let us return unto Jehovah; for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. The earth quaketh before them; the heavens tremble; the sun and the moon are darkened, and the stars withdraw their shining. And the city hath no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine upon it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the lamp thereof (is) the Lamb.
