Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth; for Jehovah hath spoken: I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.
For Jehovah spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me not to walk in the way of this people, saying,
Say ye not, A conspiracy, concerning all whereof this people shall say, A conspiracy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be in dread (thereof).
And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering that covereth all peoples, and the veil that is spread over all nations.
Woe unto them that hide deep their counsel from Jehovah, and whose works are in the dark, and that say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?
For it is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of Jehovah;
and he reasoned within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have not where to bestow by fruits?
