Thou shalt not pervert the judgment of the stranger, nor of the fatherless; nor take a widow's raiment to pledge: His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in the gate, neither is there any to deliver them. If I did despise the cause of my manservant or of my maidservant, when they contended with me; If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, when I saw my help in the gate: He that oppresseth the poor to increase his riches, and he that giveth to the rich, shall surely come to want. And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart. And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.
