And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost. Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil? Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me. And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
