Thou shalt not wrest the justice (due) to the sojourner, (or) to the fatherless, nor take the widow's raiment to pledge;
His children are far from safety, And they are crushed in the gate, Neither is there any to deliver them:
If I have despised the cause of my man-servant or of my maid-servant, When they contended with me;
If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, Because I saw my help in the gate:
He that oppresseth the poor to increase his (gain), (And) he that giveth to the rich, (shall come) only to want.
and oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the sojourner, nor the poor; and let none of you devise evil against his brother in your heart.
And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against the false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the sojourner (from his right), and fear not me, saith Jehovah of hosts.
