He restoreth my soul: He guideth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, thou I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me. Then shalt thou walk in thy way securely, And thy foot shall not stumble. Though (his) hatred cover itself with guile, His wickedness shall be openly showed before the assembly. Whoso walketh uprightly shall be delivered; But he that is perverse in (his) ways shall fall at once. He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from taking a bribe, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from looking upon evil: He shall dwell on high; his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks; his bread shall be given (him); his waters shall be sure. In like manner also there are good works that are evident; and such as are otherwise cannot be hid.
