For I have eaten ashes like bread, And mingled my drink with weeping, Ye have heard that it was said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy: Honor thy father and mother; and, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. And a second like (unto it) is this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. The second is this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself. Render to no man evil for evil. Take thought for things honorable in the sight of all men. Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place unto the wrath (of God): for it is written, Vengeance belongeth unto me; I will recompense, saith the Lord. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not covet, and if there be any other commandment, it is summed up in this word, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, (even) in this: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. Howbeit if ye fulfil the royal law, according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well:
