And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him. And Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand. Then will I slay my brother Jacob. Take heed to yourselves: if thy brother sin, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. who, knowing the ordinance of God, that they that practise such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also consent with them that practise them. Brethren, even if a man be overtaken in any trespass, ye who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to thyself, lest thou also be tempted. and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them; Lay hands hastily on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure. He that saith he is in the light and hateth his brother, is in the darkness even until now. But he that hateth his brother is in the darkness, and walketh in the darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because the darkness hath blinded his eyes. Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
