(As) clouds and wind without rain, (So is) he that boasteth himself of his gifts falsely. As I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, surely forasmuch as my sheep became a prey, and my sheep became food to all the beasts of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my sheep, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my sheep; Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. But he answered and said, Every plant which my heavenly Father planted not, shall be rooted up. When therefore ye assemble yourselves together, it is not possible to eat the Lord's supper: for in your eating each one taketh before (other) his own supper; and one is hungry, and another is drunken. What, have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and put them to shame that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you? In this I praise you not. that we may be no longer children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error; suffering wrong as the hire of wrong-doing; (men) that count it pleasure to revel in the day-time, spots and blemishes, revelling in their deceivings while they feast with you; These are springs without water, and mists driven by a storm; for whom the blackness of darkness hath been reserved.
