Have mercy upon me, O Jehovah; Behold my affliction (which I suffer) of them that hate me, Thou that liftest me up from the gates of death;
The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all they that do (his commandments): His praise endureth for ever.
But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, And they shall have no way to flee; And their hope shall be the giving up of the ghost.
For what is the hope of the godless, though he get him gain, When God taketh away his soul?
The hope of the righteous (shall be) gladness; But the expectation of the wicked shall perish.
