For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare. His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate. The LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah. The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. That our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets. Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him. Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession. He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.
