That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider. For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge. Pour out thy fury upon the heathen that know thee not, and upon the families that call not on thy name: for they have eaten up Jacob, and devoured him, and consumed him, and have made his habitation desolate. They are all hot as an oven, and have devoured their judges; all their kings are fallen: there is none among them that calleth unto me.
