And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter. But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth. But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
