Therefore he knoweth their works, and he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed. There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. He that is despised, and hath a servant, is better than he that honoureth himself, and lacketh bread. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God. Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth. As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
