But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her. Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth. And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations. Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor? And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
