Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak. Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend. Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:
