And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
