And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause. Behold now, I have ordered my cause; I know that I shall be justified. And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day. And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men. For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.
