And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee. I am as one mocked of his neighbour, who calleth upon God, and he answereth him: the just upright man is laughed to scorn. And now am I their song, yea, I am their byword. They abhor me, they flee far from me, and spare not to spit in my face. Though ye have lien among the pots, yet shall ye be as the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with yellow gold. And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.
