And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them. All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust. For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof. One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity. All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again. Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth? The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.
