I loathe it; I would not live alway: let me alone; for my days are vanity. I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long. For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh. Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate. Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. For what hath man of all his labour, and of the vexation of his heart, wherein he hath laboured under the sun? What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?
