Now the prophets, Haggai the prophet, and Zechariah the son of Iddo, prophesied unto the Jews that were in Judah and Jerusalem; in the name of the God of Israel (prophesied they) unto them.
Then rose up Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and began to build the house of God which is at Jerusalem; and with them were the prophets of God, helping them.
Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith Jehovah; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith Jehovah, and work: for I am with you, saith Jehovah of hosts,
(according to) the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, and my Spirit abode among you: fear ye not.
Consider, I pray you, from this day and backward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth (month), since the day that the foundation of Jehovah's temple was laid, consider it.
