They cried unto thee, and were delivered: They trusted in thee, and were not put to shame.

Smite a scoffer, and the simple will learn prudence; And reprove one that hath understanding, (and) he will understand knowledge.

Better is open rebuke Than love that is hidden.
Faithful are the wounds of a friend; But the kisses of an enemy are profuse.
It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools.
