And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and strengthen ye your heart. After that ye shall pass on. Forasmuch as ye are come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.
But the olive-tree said unto them, Should I leave my fatness, wherewith by me they honor God and man, and go to wave to and fro over the trees?
And the vine said unto them, Should I leave my new wine, which cheereth God and man, and go to wave to and fro over the trees?
They cried unto thee, and were delivered: They trusted in thee, and were not put to shame.
Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, And wine unto the bitter in soul:
Let him drink, and forget his poverty, And remember his misery no more.
A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh glad the life; and money answereth all things.
