And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left in thy house shall come and bow down to him for a piece of silver and a loaf of bread, and shall say, Put me, I pray thee, into one of the priests' offices, that I may eat a morsel of bread.
Lest strangers be filled with thy strength, And thy labors (be) in the house of an alien,
Till an arrow strike through his liver; As a bird hasteth to the snare, And knoweth not that it is for his life.
Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father; But he that keepeth company with harlots wasteth (his) substance.
and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Woe to the women that sew pillows upon all elbows, and make kerchiefs for the head of (persons of) every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and save souls alive for yourselves?
