And it will come to pass, when the Egyptians shall see thee, that they will say, This is his wife. And they will kill me, but they will save thee alive. Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister. That it may be well with me for thy sake, and that my soul may live because of thee. Lord, thou hast been our dwelling-place In all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, Or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. Thou turnest man to destruction, And sayest, Return, ye children of men. For a thousand years in thy sight Are but as yesterday when it is past, And as a watch in the night. And let it repent thee concerning thy servants. Oh satisfy us in the morning with thy lovingkindness, That we may rejoice and be glad all our days. Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, And the years wherein we have seen evil. Let thy work appear unto thy servants, And thy glory upon their children. He that giveth heed unto the word shall find good; And whoso trusteth in Jehovah, happy is he. The name of Jehovah is a strong tower; The righteous runneth into it, and is safe. Blessed is the man that trusteth in Jehovah, and whose trust Jehovah is. And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet. Nevertheless even of the rulers many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess (it), lest they should be put out of the synagogue: for they loved the glory (that is) of men more than the glory (that is) of God.
