Yet it pleased Jehovah to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see (his) seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of Jehovah shall prosper in his hand. for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many unto remission of sins. riseth from supper, and layeth aside his garments; and he took a towel, and girded himself. If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, ye also ought to wash one another's feet. but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men; who gave himself a ransom for all; the testimony (to be borne) in its own times; who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own possession, zealous of good works. so Christ also, having been once offered to bear the sins of many, shall appear a second time, apart from sin, to them that wait for him, unto salvation. but with precious blood, as of a lamb without spot, (even the blood) of Christ:
