And the king of Assyria brought men from Babylon, and from Cuthah, and from Avva, and from Hamath and Sepharvaim, and placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of the children of Israel; and they possessed Samaria, and dwelt in the cities thereof.
But Zerubbabel, and Jeshua, and the rest of the heads of fathers' (houses) of Israel, said unto them, Ye have nothing to do with us in building a house unto our God; but we ourselves together will build unto Jehovah, the God of Israel, as king Cyrus the king of Persia hath commanded us.
These twelve Jesus sent forth, and charged them, saying, Go not into (any) way of the Gentiles, and enter not into any city of the Samaritans:
and sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.
And they did not receive him, because his face was (as though he were) going to Jerusalem.
The Jews answered and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a demon?
