And if thou deal thus with me, kill me, I pray thee, out of hand, if I have found favor in thy sight; and let me not see my wretchedness.
I am perfect; I regard not myself; I despise my life.
My soul is weary of my life; I will give free course to my complaint; I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.
Are not my days few? cease then, And let me alone, that I may take comfort a little,
Yea, I am as a man that heareth not, And in whose mouth are no reproofs.
All this have I seen in my days of vanity: there is a righteous man that perisheth in his righteousness, and there is a wicked man that prolongeth (his life) in his evil-doing.
Therefore now, O Jehovah, take, I beseech thee, my life from me; for it is better for me to die than to live.
