Let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth, If I remember thee not; If I prefer not Jerusalem Above my chief joy. Surely he scoffeth at the scoffers; But he giveth grace unto the lowly. And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be humbled; and whosoever shall humble himself shall be exalted. I say unto you, This man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be humbled; but he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. But he giveth more grace. Wherefore (the scripture) saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble. Likewise, ye younger, be subject unto the elder. Yea, all of you gird yourselves with humility, to serve one another: for God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble.
