Treasures of wickedness profit nothing; But righteousness delivereth from death.
Riches profit not in the day of wrath; But righteousness delivereth from death.
Better is a dry morsel, and quietness therewith, Than a house full of feasting with strife.
There is a grievous evil which I have seen under the sun, (namely), riches kept by the owner thereof to his hurt:
and those riches perish by evil adventure; and if he hath begotten a son, there is nothing in his hand.
The way of peace they know not; and there is no justice in their goings: they have made them crooked paths; whosoever goeth therein doth not know peace.
They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be as an unclean thing; their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of Jehovah: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels; because it hath been the stumblingblock of their iniquity.
Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of Jehovah's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he will make an end, yea, a terrible end, of all them that dwell in the land.
