For I have heard the defaming of many, terror on every side. Denounce, and we will denounce him, (say) all my familiar friends, they that watch for my fall; peradventure he will be persuaded, and we shall prevail against him, and we shall take our revenge on him.
The eyes of Jehovah are toward the righteous, And his ears are (open) unto their cry.
I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation; I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great assembly.
Lo, then would I wander far off, I would lodge in the wilderness. (Selah)
Take ye heed every one of his neighbor, and trust ye not in any brother; for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbor will go about with slanders.
And when he was come out from thence, the scribes and the Pharisees began to press upon (him) vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things;
laying wait for him, to catch something out of his mouth.
