Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, And hast forgotten God that gave thee birth.
He made him lord of his house, And ruler of all his substance;
For thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength; therefore thou plantest pleasant plants, and settest it with strange slips.
I will greatly rejoice in Jehovah, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with a garland, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
A voice is heard upon the bare heights, the weeping (and) the supplications of the children of Israel; because they have perverted their way, they have forgotten Jehovah their God.
Shall the snow of Lebanon fail from the rock of the field? (or) shall the cold waters that flow down from afar be dried up?
And I will set my jealousy against thee, and they shall deal with thee in fury; they shall take away thy nose and thine ears; and thy residue shall fall by the sword: they shall take thy sons and thy daughters; and thy residue shall be devoured by the fire.
For Israel hath forgotten his Maker, and builded palaces; and Judah hath multiplied fortified cities: but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the castles thereof.
