Thou makest us to turn back from the adversary; And they that hate us take spoil for themselves. And in that day thou shalt say, I will give thanks unto thee, O Jehovah; for though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away and thou comfortest me. Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for Jehovah, (even) Jehovah, is my strength and song; and he is become my salvation. But I said, I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nought and vanity; yet surely the justice (due) to me is with Jehovah, and my recompense with my God. Lift up thine eyes round about, and behold: all these gather themselves together, and come to thee. As I live, saith Jehovah, thou shalt surely clothe thee with them all as with an ornament, and gird thyself with them, like a bride. And he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a mantle. Yet I will rejoice in Jehovah, I will joy in the God of my salvation. And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take the filthy garments from off him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with rich apparel. But when the king came in to behold the guests, he saw there a man who had not on a wedding-garment: and he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding-garment? And he was speechless. And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And it was given unto her that she should array herself in fine linen, bright (and) pure: for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven of God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband.
