Take thou also unto thee the chief spices: of flowing myrrh five hundred (shekels), and of sweet cinnamon half so much, even two hundred and fifty, and of sweet calamus two hundred and fifty, Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth; they are a trouble unto me; I am weary of bearing them. Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he poured out his soul unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors: yet he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. To what purpose cometh there to me frankincense from Sheba, and the sweet cane from a far country? your burnt-offerings are not acceptable, nor your sacrifices pleasing unto me. Ye have wearied Jehovah with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? In that ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of Jehovah, and he delighteth in them; or where is the God of justice? And beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he interpreted to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
