that say, Let him make speed, let him hasten his work, that we may see it; and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it!
Behold, they say unto me, Where is the word of Jehovah? let it come now.
that say, (The time) is not near to build houses: this (city) is the caldron, and we are the flesh.
Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many day to come, and he prophesieth of times that are far off.
Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use (this) proverb against thee, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter.
ye that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near;
For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hasteth toward the end, and shall not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not delay.
and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for, from the day that the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
