and it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of Jehovah, and do them; and that ye follow not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to play the harlot; If my step hath turned out of the way, And my heart walked after mine eyes, And if any spot hath cleaved to my hands: And whatsoever mine eyes desired I kept not from them; I withheld not my heart from any joy; for my heart rejoiced because of all my labor; and this was my portion from all my labor. I said in my heart, God will judge the righteous and the wicked; for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work. Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God hath already accepted thy works. Then I commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be joyful: for that shall abide with him in his labor (all) the days of his life which God hath given him under the sun. For God will bring every work into judgment, with every hidden thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
