I also will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name. They turn the needy out of the way: The poor of the earth all hide themselves. When a man shall take hold of his brother in the house of his father, (saying), Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand; to turn aside the needy from justice, and to rob the poor of my people of their right, that widows may be their spoil, and that they may make the fatherless their prey! And one hath committed abomination with his neighbor's wife; and another hath lewdly defiled his daughter-in-law; and another in thee hath humbled his sister, his father's daughter. For I know how manifold are your transgressions, and how mighty are your sins-- ye that afflict the just, that take a bribe, and that turn aside the needy in the gate (from their right). Hear this, O ye that would swallow up the needy, and cause the poor of the land to fail, For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you, even as it is written. It is actually reported that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not even among the Gentiles, that one (of you) hath his father's wife.
