And he said, Peaceably; I am come to sacrifice unto Jehovah: sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice. And he sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice.
How precious is thy lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge under the shadow of thy wings.
Wail ye; for the day of Jehovah is at hand; as destruction from the Almighty shall it come.
The sword of Jehovah is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams; for Jehovah hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Edom.
For that day is (a day) of the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries: and the sword shall devour and be satiate, and shall drink its fill of their blood; for the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, hath a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates.
And thou, son of man, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Speak unto the birds of every sort, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh and drink blood.
But Jehovah is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.
The great day of Jehovah is near, it is near and hasteth greatly, (even) the voice of the day of Jehovah; the mighty man crieth there bitterly.
Be silent, all flesh, before Jehovah; for he is waked up out of his holy habitation.
