And they came unto the valley of Eshcol, and cut down from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it upon a staff between two; (they brought) also of the pomegranates, and of the figs. a land of wheat and barley, and vines and fig-trees and pomegranates; a land of olive-trees and honey; I made me gardens and parks, and I planted trees in them of all kinds of fruit; My beloved is unto me (as) a cluster of henna-flowers In the vineyards of En-gedi. Awake, O north wind; And come, thou south; Blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, And eat his precious fruits. I went down into the garden of nuts, To see the green plants of the valley, To see whether the vine budded, (And) the pomegranates were in flower. Let us get up early to the vineyards; Let us see whether the vine hath budded, (And) its blossom is open, (And) the pomegranates are in flower: There will I give thee my love. The vine is withered, and the fig-tree languisheth; the pomegranate-tree, the palm-tree also, and the apple-tree, even all the trees of the field are withered: for joy is withered away from the sons of men. Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, the vine, and the fig-tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive-tree have not brought forth; from this day will I bless (you).
