but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. for this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry. On the morrow he was minded to go forth into Galilee, and he findeth Philip: and Jesus saith unto him, Follow me. Now this he spake, signifying by what manner of death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me. neither present your members unto sin (as) instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves unto God, as alive from the dead, and your members (as) instruments of righteousness unto God. even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace have ye been saved), Brethren, I could not myself yet to have laid hold: but one thing (I do), forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before.
