and saying, Lord, my servant lieth in the house sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. And when even was come, they brought unto him many possessed with demons: and he cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all that were sick: And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gadarenes, there met him two possessed with demons, coming forth out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man could pass by that way. And they that fed them fled, and went away into the city, and told everything, and what was befallen to them that were possessed with demons. And behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, be of good cheer; thy sins are forgiven. But that ye may know that the Son of man hath authority on earth to forgive sins (then saith he to the sick of the palsy), Arise, and take up thy bed, and go up unto thy house. And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were sick, and them that were possessed with demons. and ran round about that whole region, and began to carry about on their beds those that were sick, where they heard he was. And wheresoever he entered, into villages, or into cities, or into the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole. And they that saw it told them how he that was possessed with demons was made whole.
