Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost its savor, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under foot of men. Salt therefore is good: but if even the salt have lost its savor, wherewith shall it be seasoned? It is fit neither for the land nor for the dunghill: (men) cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. If it be possible, as much as in you lieth, be at peace with all men. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child: now that I am become a man, I have put away childish things. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer each one. and to esteem them exceeding highly in love for their work's sake. Be at peace among yourselves.
