Seventy weeks are decreed upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy. And behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time? and crying out with a loud voice, he saith, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the Most High God? I adjure thee by God, torment me not. And when he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. and seeing Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and saith, Thou also wast with the Nazarene, (even) Jesus. And this is the will of him that sent me, that of all that which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. But ye denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted unto you, Thou believest that God is one; thou doest well: the demons also believe, and shudder.
