His archers compass me round about; He cleaveth my reins asunder, and doth not spare; He poureth out my gall upon the ground. Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; For Jehovah hath heard the voice of my weeping. Thy sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as an antelope in a net; they are full of the wrath of Jehovah, the rebuke of thy God. Therefore now thus saith Jehovah, the God of hosts, the God of Israel: Wherefore commit ye (this) great evil against your own souls, to cut off from you man and woman, infant and suckling, out of the midst of Judah, to leave you none remaining; For these things I weep; mine eye, mine eye runneth down with water; Because the comforter that should refresh my soul is far from me: My children are desolate, because the enemy hath prevailed. Behold, O Jehovah; for I am in distress; my heart is troubled; My heart is turned within me; for I have grievously rebelled: Abroad the sword bereaveth, at home there is as death. Mine eye runneth down with streams of water, for the destruction of the daughter of my people. The tongue of the sucking child cleaveth to the roof of his mouth for thirst: The young children ask bread, and no man breaketh it unto them.
