He hath described a boundary upon the face of the waters, Unto the confines of light and darkness. Or (who) shut up the sea with doors, When it brake forth, (as if) it had issued out of the womb; When I made clouds the garment thereof, And thick darkness a swaddling-band for it, And marked out for it my bound, And set bars and doors, And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further; And here shall thy proud waves be stayed? And in thy majesty ride on prosperously, Because of truth and meekness (and) righteousness: And thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things. He will not always chide; Neither will he keep (his anger) for ever. Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and a bitter, that thou hast forsaken Jehovah thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts. Who should not fear thee, O King of the nations? for to thee doth it appertain; forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their royal estate, there is none like unto thee.
