They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness; And the hills are girded with joy. For thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: I have put a yoke of iron upon the neck of all these nations, that they may served Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him: and I have given him the beasts of the field also. I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself (thus), Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as a calf unaccustomed (to the yoke): turn thou me, and I shall be turned; for thou art Jehovah my God. Because ye are glad, because ye rejoice, O ye that plunder my heritage, because ye are wanton as a heifer that treadeth out (the grain), and neigh as strong horses; For Israel hath behaved himself stubbornly, like a stubborn heifer: now will Jehovah feed them as a lamb in a large place.
