I had heard of thee by the hearing of the ear; But now mine eye seeth thee:
Wherefore I abhor (myself), And repent in dust and ashes.
For thou art the God of my strength; Why hast thou cast me off? Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
They go from strength to strength; Every one of them appeareth before God in Zion.
In overflowing wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting lovingkindness will I have mercy on thee, saith Jehovah thy Redeemer.
Who should not fear thee, O King of the nations? for to thee doth it appertain; forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their royal estate, there is none like unto thee.
