Jehovah will bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;
Behold, he shall come up as clouds, and his chariots (shall be) as the whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! for we are ruined.
O Jehovah, do not thine eyes look upon truth? thou hast stricken them, but they were not grieved; thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.
and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: A great eagle with great wings and long pinions, full of feathers, which had divers colors, came unto Lebanon, and took the top of the cedar:
(Set) the trumpet to thy mouth. As an eagle (he cometh) against the house of Jehovah, because they have transgressed my covenant, and trespassed against my law.
